The 25/70 is dual purpose. It can be used to step up the voltage of a standard consumer receiver, power amplifier or integrated amplifier. Alternatively, it can be used as a step down transformer for 8 ohm speakers placed in large areas that require high wattage. The 25/70 is equipped with taps for both 25 volt and 70 volt systems, making it the work horse of most installations in North America.
