Both Sony and Kenwood manufacture A/V reveivers and CD changers with two-way IR. The remote control sends IR commands to the components on the StandardBand at 40kHz. Thus you can control these components with a standard band system. However, the remote controls have a built-in LCD screen which displays the current CD title, track number and time or radio station name when listening to the radio. The remote controls receive this information via a HighBand 455kHz stream from the components.
