Choosing Speaker Selectors and Distribution Hubs
|

|
The Concept: One amplifier powers several pairs of speakers in different rooms. All rooms have independent volume control. The Problem: Amplifiers are designed to power a maximum of two pairs of speakers; they will overheat and distort (even if played at a soft volume) when powering more than two pairs connected in parallel. The Solution: Design the system to incorporate devices that electronically transform a system with multiple speakers into the electric equivalant of two pairs of speakers. |
