Manufacturers of A/V equipment have recently started adding a remote control jack on the rear of their units allowing easy plug-in infrared control. While there is currently no industry standard, manufacturers such as Phillips®, Marantz® and others have chosen the RC-5 protocol.

The RC-5I allows you to use all of our infrared products with any component featuring this RC-5 infrared input. Using the provided cable (6' mono to mono with 1/8" plugs), simply connect your Audioplex connector block to the 1/8" jack on the RC-5I and use RCA type cable out to the A/V component. It's as simple as that - no emitter and no visible wires on the front of your components. Just the reliable infrared control you've come to expect from Audioplex infrared products.
